Sam And Saundra’s Year Long Adventure – Part 29
1/19/09 - Pharr - Texas Trails RV Park

Another huge, huge, park. We are assigned a space in an area that will be filled in when others in our caravan party arrive. We are way early. Other areas near us are waiting for different, larger caravans that are leaving before ours, but are vacant at this point. In other words, we look like we have been placed in isolation. Oh, poor us! Two large pools, matching huge hot tubs, and agiganticosis main hall, which can seat many hundreds and has pretty good acoustics. Many extra rooms for different clubs/interests. Games, tennis courts, on and on. Very good entertainment at very affordable prices.

The Link Family was one of the blue-grass entertainments that we attended. We paid $5.00 and got professional quality sound and were entertained. The Park has its own tour bus and they provide one to two day trips to other areas. We are welcomed, join in and have lots of fun. I get my ‘made for me’ water-proof earplugs and Sam is keeping an eye on me while I re-learn to swim. Feels strange to totally dunk my head under water after 17 or so years. Sam spends time getting Brutus in tip-top shape for our trip to Mexico and does a little dentist-hopping. Weather is finally good again (poor us huh?) at 80. Diesel has been priced at $2.13, but mostly found at $2.30. Our tans are re-forming. Jack Rabbit, birds. We like it here too.
