Sam And Saundra's Year Long Adventure - Part 55

Sam And Saundra’s Year Long Adventure – Part 55
Mexico
2/25/09  - Paamul – Fishing Trip

Sam and I get up way early – ok, only way early for us on this trip.  We have to be at the place we booked our fishing trip by 7:00 am.  We are barely on time.  We then get to wait for Mexico’s time to catch up with us.  The panga arrives and we wade out from the beach and jump in. We are the only ones booked on this boat and we have a captain and a head fisherman. We hurried and forgot the camera, but I was ready to catch fish.  Not our day.  Sam caught a small Parrot fish, but we had a wonderful time watching the Tortugas – both large and small swimming around us.  We soaked in sun and took a wonderful boat ride to where our trailer was parked (several miles down the beach from Playa Del Carmen). Sam waded on to the beach and retrieved our camera.  On the ride back toward Playa Del Carmen, I took pictures of Xcaret’s pyramid from the ocean and fished some more.  We let the captain keep the fish.  We spent the rest of the day just enjoying the Mexican Riviera/Caribbean or just the plain old sunshine.

We make it to Mickey Dee’s on the way back to camp, mainly to access their free wifi. We all try to talk the wagon master into letting us stay another week here.  It has been a tropical fantasy stay and we could use some rest time and would love to do it here.  We are told we can’t, or at least we can’t and stay as a caravan.  We are again promised more good times ahead.
